About Ruby Ganguly.

Born in Kolkata West Bengal in 31^st Dec, 1975.Ruby is born creative with natural artistic sense. During her Childhood she was highly influenced with Hollywood& Bollywood stars costumes designs.

At the age of 12, she designed and stitched (in manual sewing machine) her first dress using 2 (two) old saris of her mother. The dress she made out of this was having unique exquisite colour combination, in-vogue dress pattern having comfortable fit that really brings out eyes of her family members and friend. The dress was something new, different and received lot of compliment about her passion,unique fashion sense of style and creativity.

Ruby’s Life Journey.

After completing herBsc. from Calcutta University,she wanted to pursue her higher studies in fashion designing but   due to lack of financial support could not.  Overcomingall struggles she started her own boutique in the year 1996 from 2 tables, 1 sewing machine, 3 own designed wooden blocks for block printing. Soonwomen’s of all age groups including  teenager girls  from  neighbourhood and around vicinity started giving their Customize dress, Blouses, Kurties, party wears  and bridal costume designs orders to her.Later in year 1998 , she moved to Delhi after her marriage & thereafter to Mumbai and various other states of India. She continued enhancing her skills and kept her fashion  learning curve up and designed various  dresses for many Indian Celebrities. Later she completed her fashion course from Mumbai.She almost travelled by now entire India and various places abroad. This exposure helped her enormous to understand more closely Indian traditional and metro fashions, Artisans, crafts, Cultures of  across  India. Now she got the wings to more variety and unique designs   of Traditional, Indo-western, Ethnic, fusion attires

RUBYNIQUE LAUNCHED IN 2012.

Today,  BrandRubyniqueis (MSME GOVT OF WEST BENGAL REGISTERED ARTISAN ORGANISATION.). Rubynique house today has more than 5 Katha’s own purchased Land “RUBYNIQUE HOUSE”. Having Multi storied manufacturing house in Kolkatathe place from where she started. Rubynique manufacturing househas all latest technology machines, multiple embroidery units, Unique block printing set up ,hand work processes running under one roof.

RubyniqueWomen Empowerment and NGO.

More than350 backward rural women’s areassociated with Ruby Ganguly and work with  her in Rubynique House .Ruby’s believe of “Women empowerment” has given these rural women financial freedom, income opportunities and SKILL TRAINING. Ruby is personally involved in giving free fashion technical coaching to many backwards women’s and girls to become self-dependent, helping them achieve their aspirations. Driven by purpose and place of origin, Ruby Ganguly’s initiative is a impetus for change, which works towards improving the lives of people from backward communities of India.Rubynique  fashionHouse is bringing Job opportunities back to villages of India thus reducing effects of Job migrations.
